ECU Codes and IAC Valve Connections 700 1989

Can anybody give me a hand locating the diagnostic unit on my 1989 765 Turbo? The FAQs say it is behind the drivers strut tower, but I can't see anything resembling an electrical unit behind it. Maybe the turbo wagons are different.

Also, I'm going to clean my Idle Air Control Valve, but the electrical connection looks pretty secure and I don't want to figure it out by breaking it. How do you release the electrical connector without damaging it?

Any and all help is appreciated.
