Mosquito Control Brick 700 1987

My turbowagon wouldnt start this morning so I jumped the battery. After starting I let it idle for 10 minutes or so talking to a friend. Whiteish smoke began to pour out and when driving home it looked like a mosquito control vehicle. Within a few minutes everything cleared up all the while the engine ran fine and smoothly. Any ideas? Should I worry about something? Thanks in advance.
