Engine computer compatability 700 1991

Hi All,

If a 1995 engine was to be placed in a 1991 vehicle, and as suggested here, the 1995 computer was LH 3.1, should the LH 3.1 system be put in the 1991 car as well? If this is recommended, then, how involved would this be and is there much wire cutting and splicing needed.

Secondly, would there be any performance, or drivability increase in doing this swap.

The engine is a factory new 1995 B230F, so the engine end would be a straight drop-in. The only parts that would have to be obtained would be the electronics.
