What the heck is skweeking? 700 1987

My 745 GLE is making noise! It started a few days ago what sounded to be an alternator whine that would come and go while driving and it would follow my rpms. Just today driving home it started squeaking -- and when I got home i looked under the hood, and could not pinpoint the squeak ---

It did not seem to be eminating from the alternator, and i sprayed a little of the belt treatment on to see if it was the belts - not that...

my question is -- with 266K miles on it, what would cause an annoying squeak that is there at idle and in gear... it does not seem to really follow the rpms, it quiets down at road speed.
