Like most of us, I like having spare parts around. So when I find a car in a salvage yard that has the same stuff as mine, I generally strip it of everything that I think I may ever use - also a common practice, I realize.
There is a car in my favorite yard that has the same fuel system as mine: Fuel distributor (installed behind the front RH headlights, symmetrical with the battery), with the high-pressure fuel lines and all. So the thought hit me (knocked me right off my feet) (ok, sorry, but you guys 'n gals haven't "let" me post a joke for a while) . . . what was I saying?
Oh yeah, the thought hit me that I maybe ought to strip all this stuff out. So the question is: How much does eveyone think should I pay for this used fuel distributor? No telling how long it's been since it ran; but I'm not necessarily looking for a drop-in replacement . . . in fact, it may just be a parts-donor someday down the road.
And . . . just for a sense of perspective, does anyone know what a new one costs?
