Air filters - K&N or Amsoil ? 200 84

Hello

Which is better? I've heard K&N doesn't filter the air all that well but has good air flow and haven't really heard much on the Amsoil filter. I recently picked up an Amsoil air filter at the salvage yard but haven't been able to find the Amsoil oil for this filter. Can I use The K&N oil on the Amsoil filter which is available in my area ? Or should I just go with the K&N filter.
