Fuel pump wont run 700 90

Driving home from sons house my 90 740T quit. Fuel pump would not fire.

So far I have:

l. changed fuel pump relay

2. hot wired fuel pump, it works and the engine runs hot wired

3. checked all fuses---no problem

4. changed radio relay---no fuel pump

5. checked wire from relay to fuel pump and jumped the fuel pump there---it works.

Something is preventing the relay from firing the fuel pump. Have studied the FAQ and no solutions yet.

Could this be the ECU?

Seems my problems are never the easy ones.

Help and suggestions much appreciated.
