After replacing a broken tail light (Left)I Have no brake lights. Changing out the tail light was really a pleasure, from the terminalas being well marked, to the access holes for the nuts. This is my first Volvo, which I own since 1995. I typically work on my own vehicles, but since this vehicle had a 100k warranty and is basiclly trouble free, have not had much opportunity. The tail light was broken for about a month and the lens that was broken was the bottom bulb, for the tail light and brake light. So, it was exposed to the elements and one trip through the car wash. After the installation (15 minutes), I went through and verified that all bulbs were working. Everything works except the brake lights. A couple of things to note: The third light is out, as well as the right side stop light? I also do not get a bulb failure indicator light. I check the fuse and found it good. I measured the voltage at the stop light terminal and found zero voltage? What else could it be? What does this have to do with changing the tail light asm? or could I been driving around without brakes lights before my wife backed into my car and smashed the tail light?
