I have a 1990 740GLE 16 valve wagon which I love. 160K and it feels like a new car. It also handles very well through turns, which was never the case with my other stock Volvos over the years. I asked my local mechanic about it and he thinks some or all of the 16 valve models were fitted with thicker sway bars and maybe a limited slip diff. Can anyone enlighten me about these and other features that might contribute to the excellent handling of this excellent vehicle? Thanks.
