low idle 700 1991

my 91 740 non turbo b23f idles at approx 700-800 rpm in neutral.In drive

and not moving it reduces to approx 600 rpm. when the a/c is turned on the

tachometer shows about 200-300 rpms ,when the condensing fan comes on it

worsens...lots of vibration...occasionally and i mean occasionally the

engine would stall . Whats going on ? I would think that once the a/c comes on the idle rpm would automatically increase ..Any suggestions?
