Seat belts in front not retracting very slow ALL 1993

I have a 93 940 wagon. I am getting a very slow retracting seatbelt. Both fronts are very slow. So slow I have done damage to the inside of door shutting the seatbelt in the door.

Is there a way to speed up or adjust the retraction on the seat belts at all? I would appreciate any information that anyone could supply.
