242 GLT Oil pressure guage 200 1982

Guage pegs out when the engine starts. The wiring harness against the fiewall is in poor shape; exposed wires. Can anyone tell me where the oil sending sensor is? I seem to recall it's on the back side of the motor but cannot locate it. Could it be as simple as a "hot" wire crossing the circuit? Thanks.
