Easy Question, Bricksters! 900 1991

As I'm cruising along in my 91 940 GLE automatic(yep, with dat dern blasted 16 valve)at highway speeds of 65 per mph, what should be the ideal tach reading? Mine is 33000 rpm. Is this normal? Seems kinda high to me and the OD is working just fine. Thanks guys!
