Oil pressure light 200 '85

What are possible causes / how to troubleshoot oil pressure problem? The indicator light came on yesterday - kind of flickering, but always on. The oil level is OK, and there are no major leaks. The only thing I did immediately before this -- but I don't see how there's any connection - was tighten all belts a bit to eliminate squeal.

If I take this to my local Volvo dealer (10 miles away) - how much risk do I run of engine damage before getting there?
