Steering wheel shakes? Alternator? 700 1988

Hello brickboarders,

Just got my brakes replaced, rotors, pads, and one caliper housing. I have another problem that started as soon as the brakes were done. When I turn the steering wheel only in a stoped or SLOW position like under 5 miles an hour I get a shake in the steering wheel, not when turning the wheel all of the way only about halfway and it goes away. Help.... Also I dont have a manual I am going to purchase one. How do you tighten the alternator belt? Is it like on American cars where you loosen a couple of bolts and retighten?
