Flat Hood-ing it 200 83

I've seen pictures of a flat hood on a newer (meaning mid 80's) 240. I have a 1983 244 Turbo and would like this also in order to more efficiently install a hood scoop. Is there any problems I will encounter doing this? And which cars exactly have them (I thought it was the '79 242 GT's, but I'm not sure)?

Thanks in advance. I appreciate any help/advice that can be given on the subject.
