What's it for??? From somewhere around mid- to late- 70's, they started putting this little trim thing at the upper corner area of the rear windows. I'm wondering if its some sort of wind deflector or something, maybe to help keep the rear window clear??
It seems to be on all models, at least through 900 series, I believe. On the 2 & 4 doors its on the upper part of the rear pillar, between the side and rear windows. On the wagon, its more on top, but still sort of between the side window and rear hatch.
I've become very curious as to its function, knowing Volvo's reputation for incomparable engineering and design. :)
Anybody know?
