Dash Speakers, how do you get to them? 700 1988

Hello Brickboarders,

I am finally upgrading my speakers and was wondering how to disconnect the dash speakers? I have the same problem with an aftermarket unit where they are wired in with the front door speakers and they cause TOO much treble and just make it sound sloppy. I was thinking of purchasing like a eq just for those speakers, maybe a crossover?? If anyone has any input let me know. I am pretty good in the wiring department:-)
