My rear wiper motor in my 86 740 GLE wagon hasn't worked since I bought the car a year and a half ago. But I recently decided to give it a go. I replaced the motor, the other one is dead, and this one works (what seems to be nicely) but I haven't attatched the arm to it yet because it is very hard to move the arm back and forth to get the wiper to move. I think this is the reason the last motor burnt out, because it had to work way too hard. I have WD-40's the heck out of all the moving parts that I can see on this arm device, but it seems as if the problem is in the part that goes through the back window. I dont have a long enough rachet to get that big nut off to see if that could be it. Anyone think they know how to get this thing moving smoothly again? I have been working on it all day and don't know what to do. (In college so can't afford to bring it in to a shop.)
