loose passenger seat? 700 1986

I never ride in my car as a passenger, so of course I wouldn't have noticed this before. But today somebody else was driving my car and I just happen to be in the passenger seat when I noticed the seat seems to have some give in it. As the car accel. or deccel. the seat seems to shift forward and backward a little as if a corner ofit just isn't bolted down tightly. Does this sound resonable? And would I be correct in assuming that there isn't anything tricky to tightening the bolts for the seats? Thanks!
