Replacing this driver's side door switch isn't me favorite repair job, especailly after letting the wires slip into the body cavity!
What I can't figure out is why the stupid thing still will not work. Not even with a different switch.
Both switches switch on/off using a multimeter for continuity. The plunger(s) operate OK.
When I just touch the power lead to the switch lead, I get chimes and the interior overhead light. (with or without the ground wire attached)
However, when this power lead is pshed onto the switch, and the switch is properly fastened to the body for ground, the thing won't operate.
If I yank around on the plunger and pull it, sometimes it works. I removed the rubber cover thinking that this water replelling object might be hampering free movement of the plunger.
No difference.
I'm stumped.
Still in the dark, too!
