motor mounts 700 1990

My car's a little rough while taking off..

so I check the motor mounts.. looked ok to my inexperienced eye.

But I did noticed that the clearance between the engine and the crossmember (near the oil pan) is very small.. Maybe 1/2 an inch.. I wasn't able to get my head in there far enough to see if the engine had been bumping on the rubber bumper.. I didn't notice any clean spot where it had been rubbing.

Question: Is 1/2" clearance of the crossmember normal?
