Oil Leak 200 1991

I changed the oil in my baby today since the weather has finally warmed up a bit. I noticed oil on the right rear of the engine and tranny. It looks like it is coming from where the head meets the block. Is it possible that the head gasket went bad and oil is seeping out the joint? There is no smoke and it is a small leak (about 1/2 quart in 6,000 miles)The car has 208,000 miles on it and has had no major work done, just routine maintenance.
