Gas tank pressure 140-160 1975

I am having pressure build up in my gas tank even with the car just setting. If you open the cap you can hear the pressure release, and is

causing things to leak just sitting. I have checked the charcoal canistor

and it seems ok. Any one have any ideas?

This was posted yesterday, and somehow wound up as 122, when it is a 164.
