I'm new to your forum, so forgive me if you see questions like this asked all the time.
I have the opportunity to purchase a 1985 760 Turbo 5 speed Sedan with 212,000 miles on it for $900. It’s been practically one owner with a good record of changing the oil every 3k. The body is pretty good on the outside, and pretty good/fair on the inside. The overdrive doesn’t engage very well, and A/C system is shot.
My question to you is do you think I should be wary of it because it has 212k on it? I understand that Volvo’s run a long time, but a Turbo with this many miles? She’s REAL strong, with good boost still.
Why do you think the 5th gear won’t engage all the time with that green button in the middle of the shifter?
I just want to use it as a secondary car when I'm not on my '92 Honda VFR750.
Thanks for you time,
Mark
