79 240 bad fuel distributor ??? 200 1979

1979, 240, 4-cyl, B230F(?) looks like the "K" series of Bosch CI-fuel injection that was on my 1976 245. It has been housed, not running, for several years. I can have this car for free if I tow it away from the disgruntled owner's garage.

Owner says that if he "pours gas into the cylinders, the engine cranks, starts, & runs perfectly" --- tried to fix it & then gave-up in frustration ---

He said that he installed a new fuel pump on it + a "new computer" (???).

He says that there is fuel pumping out the fuel filter but no fuel coming out of the injectors. It sounds like a fuel delivery problem?

Is this a defective fuel distributor ???

I have a few days to decide whether to tow this home. Please help.
