i just bought a 78gt that has been sitting for about 2yrs. the interior for the most part is in great shape. the cool to warm switch is jammed and needs a passenger armrest. the trunklid has some rust but that is mainly it on the car. the brake discs are rusted good and calipers, the overhead cam seal leaks, that is why he said he parked it, it needs some work, but i was wondering how hard it will be to find parts for this model. i noticed it has the upper braces that connect to the firewall, does this model have the camshaft and beefed up engine as well, or was that just for the 79? do you think i wasted a hundred bucks? the car looked pretty sound, looks like some wiring and paint will be needed, but i hooked a battery to it and the car would turn over but since the engine had been off for so long i didnt try to hard to start it. the lights worked. thanks for the help once again!
