Sunroof rrepair 900 1995

I have a sunroof guide bar that the plastic has broken (the guide for the tilt) It seems to be a piece of metal with plastic insert. Two questions, one, where can I get a good manual for this type of repair and is this a common break and should I replace both sides of the guide rail for the tilt. 1995- 940
