Is it really hard to put a turbo in a N/A??? 200 80

Ok here is the deal. My baby has been broken for some time now. I have a bad rod bearing and have just been really broke lately. But soon I will do something to fix it. Im just debating a few things. I was thinking of just putting a fairly new/used bottom end in, keeping the same with the B21 I have now. (lets keep in mind that I had the head re-built about 2000 miles ago, so I want to keep the top end.) Then the guy Dave, very helpful, at the Volvo Saab recyclers told me about the b21/b23 conversion he had just done, which involves keeping the 21 head and using the 2.3l bottom of the b23. Which all and all sounds like a good idea but rare. And then I got this idea from Randy H. (the guy wanting to make bodykits) about dropping a turbo motor in my car. Would I be able to keep the head I have now or would the compresssion be to high on it? What all would I have to do in order to do this swap. All parts are readily available to me with low miles so thats not a issue. Prices are. So please help as much as possible. To just do a b21 bottom end I was quoted by my volvo shop 1000-1100.

Thanks so much..

Adam
