'84 240 wagon - about to buy one - advice? 200 1984

I am looking at an '84 240 wagon with about 154K miles. It has been with the same family (mom bought it then gave it to son three years ago and he is selling it). I seem to recall hearing something about '84's having electrical issues . . . I was hoping to get a wagon that was a little younger, ('86 +) but this one might do. It has some cosmetic issues and I am getting the engine checked out this week. Is there anything in particular that I should check? Any quirks to that year?
