ECU questions 200 1990

Does anyone know where to get an aftermarket ECU for a 1990 245 DL?

(I'm having a hard time actually going over 100 mph smoothly. I really don't want to push it to hard.)

What are the advantages or disadantages to changing the ECU?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
