quick question/thermostat housing gasket? 200 83

Hey guys,

About to restart 242glt,I know,start it already;but dont remember it the thermostat housing has a gasket.Its got to,otherwise therell be water everywhere.

The parts guys say only a therm seal,you know rubber o ring.But tell me there is a gasket of some kind,or else should I use some kind of gasket maker?
