Why don't I have a temp. compensation board? 200 1987

I pulled my instrument panel out today and was hoping to clean the temp compensation board contacts only to find that I don't have one and it was never part of my IP. Bentley indicates that I should have one... I believe it is the original IP for my Canadian 1987 245DL with the B230F engine.

Just wondering why it isn't there.
