Time for front suspension checkup - who can I trust? 700 1990

My other 740, a 1990, has just cruised past 163k miles. There are a few mysterious bumps and clunks from time to time, coming from the front of the car, sounding mostly like suspension parts (probably, although not definitely, not my engine mounts sagging, though I'm sure they're not in tip-top shape at this point, either).

The car has had no front end work done in the last 50k miles, I'm sure. Past that, I don't know when the last time was, as it was in PO's hands. I can handle a fair amount of DIY work, but suspension components are beyond my scope. It needs new tires all around, so I'm gonna take it to an alignment shop in town anyway that is competent and somewhat trusted, but I'd like for them to evaluate the front end while it's in there. When they make recommendations for replacements, and I'm almost sure they will, I want to know that I'm not getting shafted.

Anybody care to give a top 10 (top 5, top 3) list of parts likely in need of replacement? I tried to read through the FAQ, but I was hoping to get a Reader's Digest condensed version.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.
