Pics; Flood path in 945 900 1993

Hi,

Just wanted to try and post some pics of the leak problem I posted about some months ago. Got myself a digital camera, and this is the first time I try, so bear with me if it doesn´t work well.

About the problem: water and dirt flooded the RH storage compartment under the floor in my 945. Posted here and got some good tips. Having excluded side window leaks, rear lamp assy leak etc, I dug deeper. It turned out that in the right rear wheel housing there was a plug missin normally occluding an "inspection" hole in the chassis. Got a new one for about $1.50 and the water stopped coming in.

First picture shows this plug now in place for a couple of months and dirty so I have circled it with a red line. I imagine this plug could easily be washed away by a high pressure waterjet cleaner.

Second picture shows storage compartment with drain plug circled

Third picture is a close-up of the compartment with an arrow marking the hole in the chassis frame where the water entered into the compartment. You can still see some of the crud there and which formed a cement-like paste occluding the drain plug.

Hope you guys have some use of this.
