740 Turbo Engine Swap 700 1987

Listmates:

My daughter loaned her 1986 740 turbo wagon to a guy who somehow managed to run the car without oil and consequently blew the engine. I was able to buy a low mileage 1987 740 turbo sedan that had suffered an under dash fire, but no engine damage, and I removed and installed this engine and its engine wiring harness in my daughter's car over

the weekend.

.

I can make the engine run briefly by dumping gas into the intake manifold, but it appears that the injector solenoids are not receiving power. The injectors show plenty of resistance. The fuel rail has plenty of pressure.

The color codes of connector wires matched except for a heavy green wire within the seven pin connector near the accumulator, which had no mate. Similarly two wires in the 8 pin connector near the brake master cylinder did not have mates.

Can anybody tell me how I can get power to the injectors? Wiring is not one of my strong suits.

My computer is temporarily down and this message is being posted by a fellow Volvo owner. Please reply to my address below because my computer should be fixed soon.

Thanks
