no warm up=no power 700 86

I have to let my 86 740 warm up a good four or five minutes for the car to operate normally. If I just get in and go, more often than not the car has virtually no power and bogs under acceleration. When this happens, it gets better as I drive, but still seems to have less power for the duration of the trip. When I give it a nice warmup before I drive it runs great.

Also, have some intermittent idle variability, and, sometimes, very high idle (1200-1500 RPM) when I put the car in park after driving for any good length of time. Idle valve recently cleaned. Any thought on the culpit? Are these two things related? TIA.
