Transmission Swap? 700 1989

I own a 1989 740GLE(16 Valve). The car is in great shape. It currently has an automatic transmission, that I would like to switch for a manual 5-speed. I was wondering what my options were, and if it would be extremely expensive. I was also wondering if it would be possible to sell my old auto tranny for more money toward the manual. Any info will be greatly appreciated!!!
