removing factory amp 700 1990

I would like to remove my factory amp since I have an afermarket cd player in my car now (1990 760). I know I should just leave it be, but I want to make my own powered subwoofer and would like to use the factory amp to cut costs. Is there any electrical item that runs through the amp? or will it be a clean remove?
