Heater/AC control arm 700 1991

Hi all...I recently acquired a used 740 which has a broken control arm that dictates where the heat/ac comes out of (i.e. vents, floor, etc.). The temperature control arm works fine. THe previous owner indicated that she was told that the whole "box" would have to be replaced. What the heck is this thing actually called? Any guesstimates on what the cost will be?
