In--Tank Fuel Pump Questions 200 92

Getting ready to replace my pre-pump and have two questions:

1) The replacement pump (AC) didn't come with nuts on the threaded posts for the electrical connection. I'm really hoping the hardware from the original pump is a direct swap because I tried fitting M3, M3.5, M4 and 6-32 nuts and none of them wanted to thread onto the posts. Is this some weird British thread?

2) The hose between the pre-pump and hard supply pipe - does it need to be replaced with the Volvo part (1367657), or can I use 5/16" fuel line instead?
