Voltage regulator on K1 and N1 700 1986

Hi fellows !

There are two types of alternators K1 and N1 - right ?

K1 gives ~ 70 Amp. , N1 gives ~ 90 Amp.

Now : Are the voltage regulators the same or also different ?

Can I get a voltage regulator from the junkyard or

should I check certain things e.g.

number , connectors , sizes , brushes.

Sorry for my dummy question
