SRS Air Bag Light On 200 1990

Hey Brickdrivers,

I have a '90 240 that has a driver's side air bag. Last weekend I removed the instrument cluster to change a gauge. Using my Haynes manual as my guide, I disconnected the ground cable to the battery and the orange plug to the SRS sensor under the driver's side carpet before working around the area of the steering column. After replacing the cluster but before reconnecting the SRS wiring, I test drove the car to see if everything in the cluster was not working correctly. The SRS light stayed on after starting the car as I expected because the cable was not hooked up.

Since then I disconneted the battery cable and then reconnected the orange cable of the SRS and finally reconnected the battery cable again. So now the SRS is hooked up properly but the SRS light on the instrument cluster stays on after starting the car. There does not seem to be a problem with the plug on the SRS cable so I'm wondering if there is a reset for the SRS light. Does anyone know if the SRS has a diagnosic system that stores trouble codes like the FI system's? And if it does, is it possible for me to reset the diagnostics?

Thanks in Advance

Rustin
