Could it be the Cat? ALL 84

My '84 240/AW70 w/174k has had an crankcase pressure problem for a while, since I put a new head on it. The old one had cracked due to severe overheating (I think). The engine runs great, has good compression, and doesn't burn oil. I made several posts on this topic a month or so back with some good response. I have replaced all of the PCV components including the oil return tube that goes into the block. One person responded saying they had a similar problem with there car. I think it was a 740. Anyway, they said that the problem persisted until they replaced the cat. Could this be my problem also? I understand how a plugged up cat could cause internal pressure, but I don't notice any loss of power or other signs, except overheating, which could be the radiator. If you are the person I'm referring to above, I would really appreciate another response to get a bit more info. Anyone else reading this with any ideas who would like to share them, please do so.

Thanks again to all.
