On May 4th, my Volvo mechanic changed the plugs, rotor, wires, and cap, cleaned the throttle body and idle air valve, and adjusted the TPS.
My car starts in the morning, but it wants to stall out. After 2 or 3 starts, I'll be on my way. Also in the morning, shifting from P->R->D (auto), the idle will drop low (wanting to stall). Note that before I brought my car in, I still had this problem.
Today, I was at a red light. The idle dropped low, dash lights briefly came on, wanting to stall. Light turned green, stepped on gas, it hesistated and then surged upto 2000-2500rpm.
Then I went to the car wash. I watched my tach flucuate between 500-700.
I got home, turned off the car, unplugged the AMM, fired it back up, and the idle was consistently strong around 900-1000. I shifted gears, no idle drop. Of course, stepping on the gas would make it want to stall, I guess that's the "limp mode."
I plugged the AMM back in, 500-700 flucuation.
Should I go AMM shopping, or is there something else?
Thanks,
