Steering rack rebuild for laughs. 200 84

I have quite a collection of used power steering racks for 240's. Has anyone ever disassembled one and if so, any special tools needed? Or pointers to instructions?

I ask for two reasons: 1. Kinda curious as to what goes on in there, and 2. I have a slight link in my present rack and would rather fix that then go with a new used unknown rack.

Should I sharpen my chain saw?
