Looking at a GLT Wagon 200 1981

Hello,.

I am considering buying a 1981 GLT Wagon with 119K miles. I am curious what you folks think of these cars. I can get it for $1100 and it has a new short block with 25K Miles on it after the original motor blew. It needs a front AC seal replaced, there is a small hole in the exhaust and there is a small dent in one door and 1 spot of rust on the rear fender near where the spare tire sits. The cloth interior is in good shape for a 20 year old car too. Oh! theose 5 spoke alloy wheels really caught my eye :-)

What's the story with the GLTs? Do they have quirks or things I should be looking out for? I'll be checking the rocker panels, the cargo window seals for rust and will see if the wiring harness has been replaced. Also, are these cars somewhat rare? I haven't seen many on the road.

Thanks for any responses.
