Have just recently purchased a 87 740GL it has 330 kays on clock and seemes to go well. Having been serviced regulary. One question though, there is a "tapping" noise coming from the right rear when it goes over any bump. Having looked underneath I was thinking that the right rear shock may be off, only to see that my model has no shock absorbers. What gives!!!! I was thinking of making the suspension firmer as it seems a bit unsteady over anything but smooth roads.Thank You. Novice Volvo owner.
