more A/C questions...... 200 '88

in addition to my recent post about my a/c, i've got a few more questions:

i've had my a/c converted to the 134a two weeks ago and have noticed the system blows cool on hot sunny days. i know that 134a is not as cold as the r12 but my parents and wife's car has this stuff and feels great. mine doesn't. i called the shop that did the work and asked about it and was that they probably got a 2.5lbs of refrig but didn't know for sure since they couldn't register the amount. this sounded like b/s to me so i'm thinking that they didn;tget enough refrig in it and i thought i'd buy my own can and put it in (isn't the fill nozzle on the rear of the condensor??.) if i excede the 2.9lbs as recommended on the engine compartment label, will i do any harm?? i know not to make it 5+lbs but if i take it to about 3.5 or there about, will that hurt anything??

ths morning i noticed that i've got quite a bit of water in the passengers floorboard. as i left my home this morning, i noticed that when i turned left out of my driveway, water streamed out from under the dash beside the panels that hide the wires and stuff for the center console and noticed that my lower storage box on the console was soaking wet. i know this isn't good and i need help infiguring out what's going on and repair it.

thanks for the help and effort....
