Bulb out warning light. 200 1985

This problem has annoyed me for the past year and a half...I hope someone can help. The bulb light out warning light on my dash comes on when the headlights are turned on. Not when the park lights are turned on....only when the headlights are turned on. If the high beams are turned on the bulb out warning light goes off. Also, and this is wierd, if you flash the high beams from low to high and back to low very fast, the light will go out. I have played with the headlight connectors a little and they seem clean enough. Any Ideas?
